Customer Review: This Norpro garlic press works great & is easy to clean

Some people fret over garlic presses that are "inefficient." In other words, they want to put an unpeeled garlic clove in a press and get every last bit of mushed garlic and juice from that clove. I question whether a well-designed garlic press can even do that, without being troublesome in other ways.
What this press *does* do is squeeze the clove easily and quickly, without a great deal of effort. Is there some garlic left in the press along with the peel? Yes. So what! Garlic costs next to nothing in the grocery stores. If you need more garlic than a single clove will give you, you can just lift out the peel and the remains of the crushed clove will come out with it. Then just pop another clove in there and crush again.
Honestly, unless you are cooking for a large group of people or making multiple Italian dishes at the same time, you will only need to crush one or two cloves to get all of the garlic that you need.
This press just does not require much force to use, nor does it require any maintenance of any kind. It's simple and fast. And you can see that it opens all the way for cleanup.
If you have ever used a Swing-A-Way can opener, then you already know how simple is the functioning of this press.
